You may be wondering what this is.
This is what I’m planning to do to my fanarts. I’m pissed off seeing people who doesn’t source when they upload my pics (when they repost my art, instead of reblogging). I’ve written them asking for a credit link, and they’ve told me: “there’s your signature, that’s enough”.
So I feel they leave me no choice, I’ll have to watermark them like this. I’m sure no one is going to like that, but what else am I supposed to do. So please respect the fanart sources. Not only mine, all artists deserve to be credited for their hard work.
Thanks for your comprehension.
I’ll admit, I’m sad this had to happen, but when you garner attention-rightfully so-people are going to love your work and along with those that purely appreciate it and enjoy just looking, there are those that don’t care and have no sense of moral ethics. And they ruin it for all of us.
This isn’t Cris’ fault by far. Being pushed into a corner when you have no other choice? That is what this is. She has to protect her work and her creative license. So blame the kids/adults with no comprehension of what proper manners are.
Dang, I’m sad though. I would definitely pay a fee to have unmarked versions save the watermark in the corner, just for my own eyes to roam over constantly. While that would limit use and if the pieces did show up unauthorized(it would be easier to limit the source of fraud)that is no way for an artist to work.
I’m sorry people won’t respect you or your talent Cris. I’ll still always be a supporter and continue to believe in you. ♥
